The Parade of the Stars: Mickey's Float

Description

so um, this was taken was I was about 4 or 5 years old :jawdrop: I found a bunch of old pictures in my closet of some of my first trips to Disneyland  & apparentely, my grandma took these pictures :O Who knew my grandma would be quite the photographer?! :XD:

So anyways, this is the Parade of the Stars. This was the first parade I've ever seen at Disney  This was the parade for Disneyland's 45th anniversary (I have some merchandise for the star-themed anniversary but I have no idea where they are) :(

This parade was around the time Fantasia 2000 came out, so the entire parade was Fantasia themed. I love this parade since I grew up with it, & even though Max was is in it, I thought this parade could've been better. The floats were AMAZING, and the Fantasia aspect was incredible, but I have a problem with the music. They used the same song throughout the entire parade, and I thought it was too chill. I mean, now I feel like it's too chill, when I was a kid, I obviously didn't care :XD:

The parades we've had after this: The Parade of Dreams & The Soundsational Parade, had music that got you pumped and you could dance to. & each float had it's own music. This parade didn't have that. Then again, & I didn't realize this until I watched it on youtube, this was supposed to be a Movie Premiere theme, hence the name "The Parade of the Stars."

The song they played for this parade was "When You Wished Upon a Star," but it sounded like Hollywood music, if that makes sense. Watch this parade on Youtube, you'll get what I mean! :XD:

Again, I really love the Fantasia aspect of it. Most of the dancers in front of the floats were characters from Fantasia: The hippos with tutu's, & the mushrooms. I really like it because Fantasia is kind of an obscure Disney movie. The parades we have now, only seem to have floats for popular Disney movies. For instance, every single parade I've seen at Disneyland has ALWAYS had a Lion King float, a Little Mermaid float & a Beauty & The Beast float. I love those movies, but I wish they'd shake it up a bit. I love how the Soundsational Parade has a float for "The Three Cabelleros." It shows that some Disney movies were never forgotten!!

I'm still waiting for the day we have a float for the Goofy Movies, & I'm also still waiting on a Lilo & Stitch float :P

ah-yuck!
